Condition 3: The maximum number of persons that may be accommodated at the designated centre is: 12.

Áras Ronáin Community Nursing Unit is a small, single-storey nursing home on the Aran Islands with 10 residents on the day of inspection. Residents are happy with the care and feel safe and well looked after. Staff know residents well and provide respectful, unhurried care. The home has recently improved bedrooms and bathrooms to give residents more personal space. However, there are ongoing concerns about fire safety, including incomplete fire safety upgrades and unclear staff procedures in case of fire.
