This is the most the home can charge a week for residents on the Fair Deal scheme. Under Fair Deal you pay up to 80% of your income and 7.5% of the value of your assets a year, and the State pays the rest. Homes may charge extra for things like activities, hairdressing or newspapers, so ask about these when you call.

The staffing resource allocation should be informed by a full review of residents’ dependency levels, their individual preferences and choices and the requirement to respond to residents' needs in communal rooms and bedrooms. Staffing levels should also be sufficient to ensure residents are adequately supported to participate in meaningful social activities in line with their assessed needs.2. Newbrook Nursing Home has two buildings with different standards of care. Residents in The Lodge are generally happy with their care and social activities, but those in Newbrook One often lack meaningful social engagement, especially if they stay in their rooms. The home is clean and food is well-liked, but there are concerns about staff training, medication safety, infection control, and safeguarding. Management systems are not fully effective in ensuring consistent, safe care across both buildings.
