This is the most the home can charge a week for residents on the Fair Deal scheme. Under Fair Deal you pay up to 80% of your income and 7.5% of the value of your assets a year, and the State pays the rest. Homes may charge extra for things like activities, hairdressing or newspapers, so ask about these when you call.

The Meath Community Unit is a 48-bed nursing home in Dublin providing residential, convalescence, and respite care. Residents and visitors spoke positively about the kindness of staff and quality of care. The home is clean and has a warm, homely atmosphere with personalised rooms and communal areas for activities. Some maintenance issues remain, such as worn dining room floors and lack of call-bells in communal rooms, but these are being addressed. Fire safety has improved significantly. Residents enjoy a variety of activities and have good opportunities for social engagement and family visits.
