St. Joseph's Centre is a purpose-built, single-floor home divided into six lodges, each supporting residents at similar stages of dementia. Residents appeared content, well cared for, and the environment was bright, clean, and homely with lots of activities and communal spaces. Staff were trained and sufficient in number, and management had good systems to monitor and improve care. Some improvements are needed in how residents' finances are managed.
