Condition 1: Subject to any prohibitions or restrictions contained in any other condition(s), the designated centre shall be operated at all times in accordance with the Statement of Purpose 2025 version 21 received on the 20 April 2026 within the footprint of the designated centre on the floor plan received on the 27 January 2026. The registered provider shall only provide for the specific care and support needs, and services, within the facilities as set out the Statement of Purpose, as agreed with the Chief Inspector at the time of registration. Any changes to the specific care and support needs and services provided must be agreed in advance with the Chief Inspector. Condition 2: Only persons aged 18 years or older shall be accommodated at the designated centre at any time. Condition 3: The maximum number of persons that may be accommodated at the designated centre is: 42.

Terenure Nursing Home is a well-managed, clean, and bright two-storey centre with 38 residents. Residents and visitors spoke highly of the kind and attentive staff, the pleasant environment, and the variety of activities available. The centre has recently undergone refurbishment to improve bedrooms and communal spaces. Staff are well-trained and sufficient in number to meet residents' needs. Some minor issues with premises maintenance and infection control were noted but are being addressed.

What needed to improve

Some bedrooms in the older section need repainting and have water stains on ceilings.
Linen handling does not fully comply with infection control policy, risking staff exposure to microorganisms.
Cleaning storeroom lacks proper dosing equipment for cleaning products, possibly reducing effectiveness.
